Consultancy Services on 33/11 kV Distribution Reinforcement Project for Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Kilimanjaro Regions under Tanzania Energy Development and Access Expansion Project - TEDAP

TANESCO's transmission and distribution systems in Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Kilimanjaro areas - the major electricity consumption centres - increasingly suffered from overloading, outages, high technical and non-technical distribution losses, a poor power factor and low and fluctuating voltage conditions. The project was thus intended to improve the quality and reliability of power supply and to capture the unmet demand. After a fist bidding procedure had been declared unsuccessful, the project assisted in re-tendering the required components and works.
