Engineering Services for 110 kV Cables for the New "Vulkanstrasse" Substation in Duisburg

The project includes the consolidation of three existing substations into a new 110/10 kV substation "Vulkanstrasse" for the implementation of the 110 kV target grid planning and due to the renewal of operating equipment.

  • Services phases 1 to 8 of HOAI (German official scale of fees for services by architects and engineers)
  • Basic evaluation, site investigation, preliminary planning with cost estimate
  • Preliminary design, detailed design
  • Preparation and participation in contract award: specifications, evaluation of bids, participation in negotiations with bidders, award recommendation
  • Construction supervision and cost control

  • Several 110 kV XLPE cables, 3 x 1 x 500 or 800 mm³, NA2XS(FL)2Y
  • Outer gas pressure / XLPE cable transition joints
  • Civil engineering and construction measures
  • Dismantling of old equipment and rerouting of cables from the old to the new installations
